The use of mobile phone in certain places is just as antisocial as smoking. Do you think mobile should be banned like smoking????

Mobile phones are very popular among modern people as they greatly facilitate our daily life. However ,while it gains popularity, a lot criticism also follow. Some people claim that the wide use of mobile phone is as harmful as smoking and both should be banned in certain places. This viewpoint sounds reasonable, but these two things should not be treated in the same way.

Using mobile phone in public places can be vary annoying, or even lead to serious consequences. For instance, loud conversations on mobile phone interrupt the pleasure of a quiet talk with friend. Besides, using mobile phone while driving can be a distraction for drivers and considered as a main contributor to traffic accident. What is worse,excessive use of mobile phone can cause damage to people's health. Particularly, too much exposure to screen can be detrimental to children's eyes.

However, we can not ignore the fact that mobile phones brings much convenience to our life. In comparison to letters which take a couple of days to reach receiver, calls or short messages via phones enable users to interact with their social circles in a more efficient ways.
Moreover, mobile phones with multi-functions are constantly pushed to market due to the application of new technology and they add more color to dull routine.

In conclusion, unlike smoking which is definitely harm to smokers and environment, mobile phones can benefit people if they are properly used. Therefore, I don not think it is advisable to ban mobile phones, but guidelines about how to use them in a civilized way is essential
