I enjoy attending the church English practice class every Tuesday and Thursday in downtown regardless of the remote distance. However, due to the restricted bus schedule, every time I have to rush to the bus stop after class to catch a late bus running back home, thus having less time to communicate with Sister & Elder Hayley. Today, for example, Sister Hayley offered that we might review my previous written work after class if I wanted. At first, I got pretty anxious because I was afraid I would miss the one at 19:52, which I usually take. After checking the real-time TripView Lite, I realized that the last bus of 616X would arrive at 20:25. So we talked about my writing problems including the grammar and structure part.
As I got to the Clarence Street bus stop, there were still a couple of minutes left. I got a relief and waited for the bus at ease. Normally, people do not have to signal the drivers to stop as this is a big stop where a great many people will take their expected buses. Surprisingly, the 616X just drove away without stopping for a second. What the what?! I was frozen for several seconds before realizing that I had already missed the last bus. What am I supposed to do?
Immediately, I got on another bus 607X with the similar routine and asked the driver for help. He was very nice and comforted me that his bus might catch up with the 616X ahead of us. Unfortunately, we chased all the way and did not make it as the buses can run very fast on the motorway. So I thanked the driver and got off at the Norbrik stop and called Ling to pick me up. I felt terribly sorry for bringing them such inconvenience. Waiting in the moonlight, I thought about the whole thing and maybe I can have a better solution. On the one hand, I can improve my time management. On the other hand, I will wave my arm to signal the driver every time. After all, I should behave positively enough if I would like to achieve my goal, including taking a bus successfully.
So remember to get to the right bus stop at the right time and just wave my arm in advance!
