And there is also the easiest way to get your destination is print the address of your house or school before leaving China. And when you get on a taxi, you just pass the address card to the driver. Or one sentence would be helpful.

Learning a language, the most important thing is to be in that environment. If every day you hear English words and sentences, no doubt you will be familiar with it and master it.  So don't be embarrassed to open your mouth and speak in English.  This is the first step to learn English and it would help you contact with English speakers easily. But there is one more point which I also have not mastered until now. It is how to use the slang.  I would like to share with you an embarrassing story. Once I took part in a meeting.Most of joiners are English-speakers.  In the meeting, a foreigner made a joke. Other foreigners were laughing except Chinese joiners.  I felt in loss and embarrassed.  For this moment, I think I was funny as I pretended to understand and laughed together with them.

So do not wait to learn until you need to use. Just learn when you are free. The more you learn, the more you will find you need to learn.
