Grow Up
This is the 100th meeting of our club and 100th meeting like a milestone, which means we grow up. We not only survive but also flourish. That is grow up for our club, but what about us?
Every New Year pass, we always say to ourselves: we grow up one year old! My dear friends have you ever asked yourself: What is growing up really mean to you?
When I was a child,I could proudly say my father is a soldier and mother is an engineer. They hired a nanny to help me do lots of things,cooking,clothes washing,sending me to school etc. My parents protected me well and I thought they were superman and superwoman. I never known so hard it is they faced in life to raise me up at that time.My mom always said: Look at your next door brother, he is a boy, every time I go to his room,it’s clean and neatly. Look at your bed and desk. It’s such a mess. Is there any place for you to do your homework? How can you doesn’t like a girl? Every timeI went back school, my mother always took a deep breath and said to my dad: Oh dear, she finally go to school, we can finally release.I rely on my parents to help me solve problems and make decisions. They wanted me to grow up quickly.I always wondering what grow up would be like.
I've got the answerafter my mother and I traveled toE’mei Mountain lastsummer.We haven’t invited any tour guide, just traveled by two of us.
Before I went there, I never known how hard it was,the total high up to the elevation of 3099 kilometers. Usually we took 3 days for a mountain but this E’mei Mountain costed us 5 days to completely finish climbing.
At first, we always had nice talk and laughing during walking together. Wedid see many magnificent beauty of nature.
But not soon later, something unexpected happened. Before I traveled there I never know my mother was so weak that she just couldn’t have enough energy to finish climbing this whole mountain by herself.After a long time walk,she is so exhausted that she can only held bythe wallandwalked slowly and slowly.I found something wrong and hold her arms. Then I saw her face turned pale and passed out. All of a sudden I didn’tknow what to do, just hold her to sit on side of the path; her eyes closed with breathe slightly.I knew I couldn’t wait.Ibrought some water andchocolateand sitby her.I talked to her and tried to release her. I also begthestrangetravelersto givemy mother some alternate medicine.Finally, she turned normal.
After this traveling, I realized that In terms ofthe strength and energy, they are no longer stronger than me. This is the moment of truth; let me know what grow up really mean;Grow up for me meanstotake responsibility and to be independence.It alsolet me feel so much different, I won’t feel like a baby girl any more.I take care of myself and the people around me. I organize my thing profoundly. My mom said I totally change into another person when we back. Now when my parents come back home from work, there would be delicious dishes I made waiting for them. it’s like an ice cream in the hot summer let them forget the tired and feel sweet, feel happiness. I learn to taking care myself and my parents and to be independence.
Until now, I feel like my shoulder is taken more responsibility. Stay hungry to improve myself to be a better person. Grow up for me means to take responsibility and to be independence. what about you, my dear friends. There must be something in your mind.
