Activity启动流程源码分析

前言

Launcher启动app

launcher就是android桌面应用程序。也是操作系统启动有第一个app。同时作为其他app的入口。我们找到其源码

我们先看Manifest文件
找到app的入口Activity

我们进入到com.android.launcher2.Launcher
在进入某个app的时候,我们一般是点击对应的logo。这里我们猜想Launcer里的点击事件onClick方法应该会被调用。搜索找到

这里只截取核心代码,看到tag有ShortcutInfo、FolderInfo等类型。通过类名应该可以理解,一个是app的入口,一个是包含多个app的文件夹。这与我们使用手机的场景也是相符的。然后看到关键代码boolean success = startActivitySafely(v, intent, tag);
进入到该方法

这里就调用了startActivity(v, intent, tag) 。Launcer是集成Activity的而改方法是Activity的方法。接下来就进入到了我们熟悉的Activity的调用。

第一阶段 Activity的startActivity ->AMS的startActivity

我们跟踪到Activity的startActivity的方法,最终调用到startActivityForResult

这里最核心的一段代码。这里又涉及一个类Instrumentation。这里先简单的解释一些这个类。

  • Instrumentation
    • 英文翻译:仪表。
    • 在app进程创建后,ActivityThread的main执行后被创建。
    • 作用:
      • 用于控制Activity,监控应用程序和系统的交互。
      • 启动Activity的入口
      • 调用Activity的生命周期方法。
      • 每个app进程有且仅有一个Instrumentation对象
        这里先简单认知一下,不用过多的纠结。可以到它的大多数方法都和Activity的生命周期方法相关。也就是Activity的生命周期方法可以由它来调用。
        我们继续跟进Instrumentation的execStartActivity方法。我们截取核心代码

这里就开始和AMS有关系了。我们先看到ActivityManagerNative.getDefault()得到的是IActivityManager的实现。

这里是一个单例的实现。gDefault.get()时候会调用create()得到IActivityManager的实现。而IActivityManager的实现是什么呢。我们具体看到create()的代码实现

这里涉及到了Binder机制。android中IPC通信使用的Binder机制。这里又出现类一个重要的类ServiceMananger。我们先做简单的介绍:

ServiceMananger:
android中比较重要的一个进程它是在init进程启动之后启动,从名字上就可以看出来它是用来管理系统中的service。比如:InputMethodService、ActivityManagerService等。系统的services会把自己的信息注册到ServiceManager。同时当需要获取系统的Services也是通过ServiceManager来获取。这里我们只介绍它是干什么用的。至于具体的实现这里就不做展开,否则就偏离我们的主题了。

回到主题,这里通过ServiceManager获取到了远程service的Binder接口。然后调用asInterface(b)获取到IActivityManager 的实现。
进入到asInterface

这里创建了一个ActivityManagerProxy对象。如果已创建则直接返回。这里又出现一个类ActivityManagerProxy

ActivityManagerProxy

  • 实现了IActivityManager 的接口
  • ActivityManagerNative的内部类
  • 通过构造方法传入远程ams的binder引用。同时从命名看到这是一个代理类。代理ams.

回到Instrumentation的execStartActivity调用的ActivityManagerNative.getDefault() .startActivity实际上调用到了ActivityManagerProxy的startActivity

这里主要是讲参数进行组包成Parcel类型。然后调用Binder的transact方法

最终会调用到onTransact 我们去ams中看onTransact的实现。代码不多,最后调用到了return super.onTransact(code, data, reply, flags);。我们去看一下ams的继承关系,发现它是集成ActivityManagerNative。这就比较清晰了,我们进入到AMN查看onTransact

这里我们看到对Parcel 类型的data进行了解包。然后调用ams的startActivity方法。最终进入到了AMS的startActivity。

第二阶段 AMS startActivity

这里的代码就非常的多了。估计很多人都是败在这里,但我们只看到核心逻辑部分。

我们看到最后一句核心调用mStackSupervisor.startActivityMayWait(appThread, -1, callingPackage, intent, resolvedType, null, null, null, null, 0, 0, null, null, null, options, false, callingUser, null, tr)
这里又出现了一个类ActivityStackSuperbisor。

ActivityStackSuperbisor

  • 监督人,指导人的意思。这里代表ActivityStack的管理类。
  • ActivityStack内有多个TaskRecord,TaskRecord有多个ActivityRecord。每次新启动一个Activity会创建一个ActivityRecord

先提前透露下整个startActivity的调用主要就是在ActivityStackSupervisor、ActivityStack、ActivityThread、ApplicationThread这几个类中间进行方法调用。
我们回到代码,进入到ActivityStackSupervisor的startActivityMayWait方法

这个方法就比较重要了。首先会判断当前app的进程是否已经启动,如果没有启动测调用mService.startProcessLocked(r.processName, r.info.applicationInfo, true, 0, "activity", r.intent.getComponent(), false, false, true);通过ams启动进程。如果已经启动则调用realStartActivityLocked(r, app, andResume, checkConfig)开始真正的启动Activity

进程的启动这里就不做介绍,后面会专门写一篇进程启动的源码解读,们现在讨论进程已存在的情况下启动Activity。

到这里整个Activity的启动已经完成。我们只做了主流程的解析,而启动的细节还是非常多了,这里也无法一一展开。我们需要了解整个Activity的启动涉及哪些类,如何和ams进行通信,以及各个类是如何协调完成这个工作。
