王维的《山居秋暝》是他的代表作之一，画面感非常强，诗中有画，画中有诗。
我从来都觉得，中国的古典文学里的诗词能在精炼有韵律的句子中表达深刻的含义，描绘美丽的风光，是西方再伟大的文学作品都无法比拟的。
这大概是我五六年前大一的时候翻译的作品。第一次尝试把这首唐诗翻译成英文，尽量做到句尾押韵，选词也按照诗歌原有的意境来考量。
但还是觉得古诗原文最美。要让西方人感知中文的魅力，翻译固然重要，更重要的是他们自己愿意来学习中文。
山居秋暝

空山新雨后，天气晚来秋。
明月松间照，清泉石上流。
竹喧归浣女，莲动下渔舟。
随意春芳歇，王孙自可留。
Autumn Twilight in the mountain

The tranquil mountain after the fresh rain,
Catches the tinges of autumn which the cool of dusk gain.
Bright moonlight shines through the forests of pine,
While the limpid springs flow upon the rock’s line.
Whose gales of laughter awaken the bamboo groves?
Fair maidens come back from washing clothes.
The fishing boats sail along the green streams,
All the way softly swaying the lotus leaves.
Despite the beauty of spring has passed away,
There is something peaceful here drawing me to stay.
