今晚，分享一个本周翻译群做的一句中译英练习，写几条思路，抛砖引玉，开开脑洞。
中文句子是这样的：
在中国南方的亚计山上有栋13层建筑，每层养了一千头猪。
先抠词。
建筑，building, structure: [C] something that has been built, especially something large such as a building or a bridge〔尤指大的〕建筑物，结构体
a high wooden structure with a curved roof 带拱顶的高大木结构建筑物
或者complex: a group of buildings, or a large building with many parts, used for a particular purpose〔有特定用途的〕综合楼群，综合大楼
The town has one of the best leisure complexes in the country. 该镇拥有全国最好的娱乐休闲广场之一。

养，饲养动物可以是raise, rear, 此处涉及到地点，也可以转化为“容纳”，accommodate: [T] if a room, building etc can accommodate a particular number of people or things, it has enough space for them〔房间、建筑物等〕容纳
He bought a huge house to accommodate his library. 他买了一座大房子来放他的藏书。
The ballroom can accommodate 400 people. 那个舞厅可容纳400人。
没有太多太难的词语，梳理一下组句思路。
要看到这句话是个典型的无主句。
上个月翻译群无主句的时候，提到过一些翻译思路。普遍来说，无主句可以根据所在的语境和文体，处理为被动态、增补施事者做主语、转换为it is imperative to do sth.的结构、there be句型、地点状语在句首的倒装句等等。
这句无主句也可以用there be句型：
There is a 13-story complex on Yaji mountain in southern China, with 1,000 pigs on one floor.
涵盖方位的无主句，也可以把地点状语放句首：
On Yaji mountain in southern China sits a 13-sotry complex, with 1,000 pigs on one floor.
建筑物做状语，每层楼做主语，突出容纳量大：
In a 13-story complex on Yaji mountain in southern China, each floor accommodates 1,000 pigs.
建筑物做主语，有13层楼做谓语宾语，每层楼放状语位置：
A complex on Yji mountain in southern China has 13 levels, with 1,000 pigs to a floor.
