第17章小王子和蛇说“I understand you very well”，当时看着还嘀咕是真的听懂了蛇打的哑谜么？从这里看他一直清楚蛇在说什么。
- I stopped in my tracks, my heart torn asunder; but still I did not understand.
torn 是 tear（撕裂，撕开）的过去式
asunder 成碎片地；四分五裂地
- I dropped my eyes, then, to the foot of the wall-- and I leaped into the air.
leaped into the air 跳了起来。leap 就是跳跃。
- Even as I was digging into my pocked to get out my revolver I made a running step back.
revolver 左轮手枪
- the snake let himself flow easily across the sand like the dying spray of a fountain, and, in no apparent hurry, disappeared, with a light metallic sound, among the stones.

fountain 喷泉；喷水池
apparent 明显的；显而易见的 in no hurry 不着急；不忙
两个搭配在一起就是 in no apparent hurry 毫不着急地，不慌不忙地
metallic 尖厉刺耳的；难听的
- I had loosened the golden muffler that he always wore. I had moistened his temples,
muffler 围巾（过时用法，现在一般用scarf）
moisten 使湿润；弄湿
temple 太阳穴；鬓角
- He looked at me very gravely, and put his arms around my neck.
gravely 严肃地；表情沉重地

- That will be so amusing!

- He remained motionless for an instant.
