It’s a truth universally acknowledged, that a little kid is fund of playing. So I want to provide an environment that rich in sense for my little girl. I bought her lots of books and some large intelligent toys, and her grandfather bought some little toys some times. After playing the toys sometime, my little girl got tired about them quickly. How could I always provide her fresh things to play? Through my observation, I found that my little girl preferred to daily necessities. Therefore, I adapted some safe stuff to be her plaything.I cleaned and dried a moon cake box, then filled it with rice, picked some mini beach toys. That’s her plaything! I dressed her raincoat and rain boot, then turned on the tap and kept the flow small, picked up the mini beach toys. That’s her plaything! I prepared some disposable cups to be her staking blocks. I cleaned up the tables and desks to be her play yard. I brought some paper and pencils to let her draw anywhere. And I used some cartons and cushioning materials from express firms to let her play with. The thing is infinite, the imagination is limited. It’s been a difficult task for me to create new toys.

That day, after assembling the dishwasher, I watched the large carton. Soon,a wonderful idea emerged in my mind. Then I decided to use the big box to make a room. 

I pulled the carton out to the balcony, and then used a knife to make a hut, which had a door and two windows-- a side-window and a skylight. At the time I was working, my little girl was turning around me excited. As soon as I finished my work, she stepped into the hut with her bunny toy happily. She excited to point out the side-window, and then squeezed out from the skylight.

 Next,she brought her little chair into the hut with satisfied smile on her face, and then she brought her pet toys into the hut to have a family party. That day she had a very nice time. From that day on, she played with the hut many times, but her way of playing had changed. She went into the hut from different sides, not only from the door, but also from the side-window and the skylight. The poor side-window, which was designed to be narrow enough so that she couldn’t go through it, was stretched bigger and bigger. That’s not the end. She also pulled and pushed the hut up and down that the hut was out of shape. Before long the hut became a broken cardboard box. In the end, I had to discuss with her about throwing the box. After a few days’ discussion, she finally agreed to throw the box into the dustbin downstairs and said goodbye to it.

That’s the whole story about one of my little girl’s homemade toys. Of course, I have to open up the brain tube all the times to give her a richer environment. Just fighting!

一件DIY玩具的一生

小孩子嘛，天生就是爱玩嘛。小小娃嘛，要有丰富的环境嘛。这不，除了我买回家的大型玩具和书，她爷爷也时不时买些小玩具回来。但总不能每天买新玩具啊，钱不够，空间也不够，更何况东西太多小孩子就不知道珍惜了啊。于是要想办法啊，反正日常用品她更爱玩，所以一些安全的日用品也常常拿来给她当玩具。月饼盒洗干净晾干，装上半盒米，拿来小勺子小桶，玩吧！雨衣雨鞋穿起，开小水流，放上桶放进小勺子小鸭子，玩吧！一次性杯子准备八九个，捏紧撑开、叠叠乐，玩吧！椅子桌子东西清干净，爬高爬低，玩吧！草稿纸和笔拿出来，地板墙壁彩色笔随处涂抹，玩吧！快递盒和缓冲泡沫气泡垫，玩吧！

日常用品虽多，被允许玩的东西也有限，脑洞开得差不多，也黔驴技穷了，还能有什么新玩法呢？

那日装完洗碗机，看着扔在一边的巨大的箱子，想起之前看过的用箱子打造小孩子城堡的文。即使手残如我，还是当场决定利用箱子做一个简易的屋子。于是我把箱子拖到阳台上，用美术刀划拉了个最简房子：一门两窗——前门和侧窗、天窗。整个过程小小娃都兴奋地围着我绕圈圈想抢工具要进屋要踩箱子……完工后第一时间进去装扮她的小屋，带着她的小伙伴bunny，先进屋视察了一遍，很兴奋得打开侧窗，指着窗外“哇哇哇”乱叫。然后撅着小屁股搬她的小凳子进屋，坐着感受了一下，看表情甚是满意。接着把她的后宫陆续请进小屋里，开始了家庭大聚会，玩得不亦乐乎。后来这个小屋被命名为“芊芊的妙妙屋”，灵感来自于她常看的“米奇妙妙屋”。女儿天天都要在她的妙妙屋里进进出出，原本还从前门正常进出，后来另辟蹊径，从天窗进出，看着她努力攀到天窗扭着屁股以头滑下去，我不忍阻止。但接着，她就开始开拓侧窗了。当时本着不让她爬进爬出而把侧窗设计得比较小，她被卡住几次之后，侧窗就成功被撑大了。没多久，小屋的门窗功能就成功混乱了，连地基都不稳了。小屋被它随意抬起推翻，慢慢又变回了纸箱，还是破烂的纸箱……这个箱子被她玩出了很多花样，带给了她很多欢乐。但最后，箱子实在是被折腾地太像垃圾了，就跟她商量丢掉，以后再给她做一个，好说歹说，也拖了快一个星期才答应，一块跟我拖着送到楼下垃圾桶，恋恋不舍地拜拜。

小孩玩法常新，大人脑筋常动。户外活动跑跑跳跳，亲子阅读咿咿呀呀。新玩具不用常买，日常用品的可玩性还是可以常常拓展的。继续开脑洞吧！
